Final animated presentation with directions. Click here to access the presentation. This is an example of how I transformed a 5 page, 10 step instructional document into a student and teacher friendly presentation using clarity and purposeful design. To efficiently disseminate the directions for both the teachers who were new to this assessment and the students who were taking the progress monitoring school-wide for the first time, this was a logical solution: create an easily accessible, animated presentation that set forth simple, clear directions in a visually appealing way (Click here to access the presentation). Original instructions: 5 page document with 10 steps and screenshots. The solution: I used Canva as my design platform to achieve a minimalistic layout and provide a simple link to share with teachers and students to guide through the assessment. All the visuals are used purposefully with the intention of making access and directions straightforward. After sending out the link to the presentation, I realized I needed to make a few tweaks after receiving some feedback. That was simple since there wasn’t any need to re-send an updated copy of a presentation. Teachers were able to click the link at the set date and time and the progress monitoring testing and directions went smoothly thanks to clear and purposeful design.
